How to Buy a Normal Looking Gaming Laptop

Must read

A gaming laptop is a high-performance computer that can give you the same experience as a professional gamer without breaking the bank. Unlike traditional desktop computers, gaming laptops are small and portable, allowing them to be moved around the house or taken along as a backpack. The best models come with built-in Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams apps, and top-of-the-line GPU cards. Despite the fact that they’re a gamer’s dream, they are still easy to use and look like a standard laptop. One reliable brand of gaming laptops is Dell, which produces a wide range of high-end laptops with many features.

ASUS ROG

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus S Ultra Slim Gaming Laptop is a gaming laptop that is both thin and light. However, it is packed with some serious hardware that delivers outstanding performance. If you’re looking for a gaming laptop that you can use as a daily driver, look no further than the ROG Zephyrus S.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus S features a beautiful display and top-notch audio quality. This ultra slim gaming laptop is also loaded with a 9th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and a GTX 1650 graphics card. The battery life of this laptop is quite impressive too, ranging up to ten hours of mixed usage. With a half-terabyte of SSD storage, it should last for more than five hours.

While the ROG Zephyrus G14 is arguably the best gaming laptop you can buy, it might not be the best choice for your daily needs. The thin design of this notebook makes it easy to carry, and the 360-hinge screen makes it a tablet in many ways.

Asus is one of the biggest names when it comes to gaming laptops, and the ROG Strix G15 is an extremely good option if you’re on a budget. Its RTX 2070 graphics card, excellent battery life, and great performance are just some of the highlights. The ASUS ROG Strix G15 also features a brushed aluminum design that’s perfect for a home gaming laptop.

Acer Swift X

If you’re looking for a gaming laptop that looks normal but performs like a beast, the Acer Swift X is a good choice. It has a powerful RTX graphics chip and ray-tracing capability. Acer has also invested in image manipulation software to keep the graphics quality high. Its power adapter delivers 90 Watts of power and is USB-C compatible. The laptop has two USB-A ports, one HDMI port, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Unfortunately, it does not include an Ethernet port.

The Swift X has a sleek design that will make you want to play your favorite games on it. It has a full-size HDMI 1.0 port and a USB-C port that powers the display. It also supports the latest wireless networking standards. However, the laptop lacks an SD card reader and Thunderbolt support. It does have dual front-facing speakers, but they sound tinny and are about average for an inexpensive gaming laptop.

The Acer Swift X offers decent battery life. It can easily last for an entire day of work, with a few hours left over. However, it is important to note that the battery life will decrease if you push the CPU and GPU too hard. As a result, you may need to use a power adapter to keep the laptop charged.

The Acer Swift X has an ultra-thin 16-inch display. It also has a powerful Intel Core Processor i7-1260P. Its graphics card offers high performance, deep blacks, and vibrant colors. You’ll be able to enjoy your favorite games and videos with the Swift X.

MSI Prestige 14

The MSI Prestige 14 is an unusually normal-looking gaming laptop. The semi-gloss charcoal finish and the lack of a swishy design make it seem more like an everyday computer than a gaming machine. The lid is accented by a glossy relief MSI logo. This design differs from the usual dragon-style logo found on other MSI gaming laptops.

The MSI Prestige 14 is a light and thin gaming laptop with decent performance and a high screen resolution. However, it does have some shortcomings. The battery life is lower than that of other Intel Evo-certified laptops, and the speakers are not as high-quality as one might hope. Moreover, the 14-inch 1080p display is easily overpowered by bright light. Another small complaint is the placement of the fingerprint scanner.

The keyboard is comfortable to use. Its keys are large and spaced close together, making it comfortable to type on. The keyboard has sufficient breathing room and is spacious enough to accommodate a mouse. The trackpad has a glass coating and is responsive and provides a nice amount of feedback.

While the screen on the MSI Prestige 14 is slow and the integrated graphics can get toasty, the overall noise level is manageable. You can even tailor fan noise using the MSI Center management application. It also matches fan noise to environmental sound measurements. The latest Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and Bluetooth 5.2 are standard on this laptop. It also has most of the latest ports.

In addition to having Thunderbolt 4, this laptop supports dual USB-C ports. There is also a MicroSD card reader. Its ports aren’t the largest on a gaming laptop, but they’re enough to make the Prestige 14 an effective productivity laptop.

Dell XPS 15 7000

In a recent review of Dell’s XPS 15 gaming laptop, I was impressed with the upgrades it has under the hood. This model now comes with an internal processor and graphics card with GeForce GTX 1050 graphics, making it a more powerful machine than its predecessor. It also comes with a Windows Hello compliant fingerprint reader that lets you sign into your laptop using your finger prints.

The Dell XPS 15 is a slim quad-core laptop with an excellent UHD 4K Sharp IGZO display. It also comes with a very good keyboard and top-notch materials. However, it’s an expensive laptop, and not all programs play well with its 4K display.

A big benefit of the XPS 15 is its battery life. This laptop has the highest battery life of any 15-inch performance class laptop. The 86-watt-hour battery means it will last for several hours before you need to recharge it. This laptop is also extremely thin, weighing just 4.5 pounds. Moreover, it is small enough to fit into most laptop bags.

The Dell XPS 15 comes with a 15.6-inch 4K UHD screen. The screen is surrounded by a glossy Gorilla Glass NBT protective layer. Its brightness reaches 442 nits. My review unit exceeded this mark, and the display is also anti-reflective, which prevents distracting glare.

It is a lightweight and sleek laptop with a small bezel around the display. The laptop has a small USB-C to USB-A/HDMI dongle. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
