How to Change Goals on the Activity App

Move goal

Close exercise ring

The Move ring requires you to move around your body all day, while the Exercise ring needs to be close at midnight. Depending on which activity you choose, the Move ring can be more challenging to close than the Exercise ring.

The activity ring can be closed by tapping it, but you must use your Apple Watch to do so. Alternatively, you can manually close the rings. To do this, open the Health app and tap the Add Data icon. Next, tap Activity Type in the Workouts section. Note that workouts that are not done with your Apple Watch will not count toward closing the Activity rings. Therefore, it is important to get your Apple Watch working properly before attempting to close Activity rings.

Another way to close the Activity ring is to set an open goal in Other or a story. For example, you could set a goal of running for 30 minutes. You can also manually close the Ring by typing in your workout data. If you are using the Apple Watch, the Activity ring closes more quickly while you are writing a story.

After a few days of using the Activity app, you will be able to view the Trends section, which shows your Activity and Exercise rings over time. The Trends section is also a helpful tool for those who want to revisit their previous days’ data. In addition, there is an Awards section where you can stock up on awards. When you reach certain milestones with your Activity and Exercise rings, you will receive a special award.

Customize goals
