Regardless of which web browser you’re using, there’s a way to set the home page of your browser to the site you want it to be. In fact, you can choose more than one web address, as long as you enter them on separate lines. To make a specific web address your home page, click the “Set as Home Page” button.
Microsoft Edge
If you use Microsoft Edge, you can change the default home page to any website you want. Just go to the settings menu, and select the ‘Gear’ icon. You can then type the URL you wish to use as your home page. The URL is displayed in the top-right corner of your browser, and will be displayed whenever you open a new tab or window.
Once you’ve selected the new home page, you can click the ‘Close’ icon to dismiss the current window and return to the settings screen. Select the ‘Custom’ option from the drop-down menu under ‘A specific page or pages’. You can also enter multiple URLs in the box. This feature is especially convenient if you want to open specific websites every time you start your PC.
When you upgrade to Windows 10, Microsoft recommends using Edge as your default browser. However, you can always change it back to the default browser. The following instructions assume you’ve upgraded to the latest version of Windows 10. Once you’ve set your default browser, you can change the default to any other.
If you’re using Internet Explorer 11, click the ‘Settings’ gear at the top-right corner and select ‘Internet Options’. The General tab includes the Home Page and Startup sections. In Microsoft Edge, you can also change your default home page by clicking the ‘Test’ icon in the upper-left corner. This will change the default homepage of the browser when you first open it. Alternatively, you can click the ‘Menu’ icon and choose ‘Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
Chrome
If you use Google Chrome on Windows 10, you can change the home page of your browser from the browser settings. The settings for home and individual users are different, but you can use Group Policy to make Chrome your home page for thousands of computers in an Active Directory domain. Open the browser settings by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner. In the left-hand pane, click on Appearance. In the Appearance section, click the Show home button. You can customize the title of the icon. After you’ve entered the desired URL, click “Add.” You can then use your new homepage in Windows 10.
You can also change the start-up page of Chrome. You can add multiple pages to your home page by clicking on the Add new tab button. These pages will load into separate tabs. The new tab page can also be customized by clicking on the Customize tab page button. Once you’ve done that, you can change your homepage to whatever you want.
The first step in changing the home page of Google Chrome is to enable the Show home button option in the browser settings. You can find this button on the left side of the settings page. Once you’ve done this, you can click on the Home button and select the page you want to view. The website will be displayed in the browser’s new tab screen.
Firefox
In the Firefox settings menu, you can choose to add any site you want to your Home page. You can also choose the number of rows you want to display. For example, if you want to see the latest trending news and interesting stories, you can set Recommended by Pocket to show you those articles. You can also expand or collapse the categories that you want to see.
The next step is to choose where to put your home page. This can be done by going to the Preferences tab and selecting the setting “Show my home page on startup.” Once the option is selected, type the URL you wish to set as your home page into the blank space. If you want to add more than one URL, use the pipe symbol to separate them. Once you’ve done this, your site will be permanently added to the start page.
Next, click the Settings menu. This menu can be found on the far right of your browser’s top bar. The Settings tab contains a Home tab. In the Home tab, click on the Homepage selection menu. Choose Custom URLs or Use Current Page. After navigating through the settings menu, you should have the ability to select the site you want as your homepage.
Once you have selected your homepage, you can customize your Home page to include your favorite sites. Firefox’s “Home” menu will include tabs for your favorite sites. You can even check off subcategories. You can also add Web Search to the Home page so you can access your favorite sites right from the Home page. You can also change the search engine that Firefox will use when you open it.
Opera
If you want to change the default home page of Opera on Windows 10, you can manually enter the URL of the webpage you want to use. If you’re using the same browser on multiple tabs, you’ll need to navigate to the desired pages in each one separately. To do this, open the Opera settings menu and go to the Basic screen. From there, click the options for Open a specific page, Set pages, and Use current pages. Once this has been done, all open tabs will have their URLs added to the startup pages.
The Easy Setup panel allows users to adjust some of Opera’s most popular features. It is a great way for new users to get started with the browser, and for experienced users to make quick adjustments. From the settings page, users can change the default page, change wallpaper, manage downloads, and enable or disable ad blocker. The settings page also includes a search bar. When you search for a specific term, the results will be highlighted.
Opera for computers is available for Windows users and is a free download. Once downloaded, the software is then a good choice to make default browser. Depending on your operating system, this may require a re-installation of Opera if you have installed it previously. You can also use the Opera browser on a Mac. In addition to Windows and Mac, Opera also works on Linux. If you’re using a Mac, you can change the default browser by going to the System Preferences menu and clicking “Default Browser.” In the pop-up window, click on “Change default” and then select Opera as the browser.
Internet Explorer 11
Internet Explorer 11 offers a variety of settings for its home page. You can change it to open a new tab or the default page when the browser opens. You can also change it to open a specific website. To change the home page, click the gear icon in the toolbar. This opens the Tools submenu, and you can find the Home page setting.
Internet Explorer allows you to change the home page to any website you choose. You can also select more than one home page by clicking the “Use current” button. Just make sure to type each URL on a separate line. After doing this, you can save your changes and your home page will be saved.
Once you have changed the home page of your Internet Explorer, you can change the URL that loads when you visit websites. Third-party software and malware can also change your home page. If you notice a change, go to the Control Panel to uninstall the applications that caused the issue. Then, change the default browser for Internet Explorer 11 to your new home page.
Internet Explorer 11 also lets you save web pages for offline reading. This includes images, multimedia files, and source code. To save web pages for offline viewing, open the Gear menu and choose File>Save As. You can also save the full page to an MHT file, which includes audio and animation data.
Safari
If you want to change the homepage of your Windows 10 PC, you can do so easily using Safari. To do this, open the Preferences menu in the upper-left corner of your screen. Scroll down to General and select the “Home page” option. Then, type in the URL you wish to set as your homepage. This process works for both webpages and images.
Once you’ve done that, open the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and click the Tools icon in the upper-right corner. Select Internet Options from the drop-down menu. Next, select “Home Page.” Once you’ve entered the address, click OK. This will change your current home page to the one you’ve chosen.
You can also choose Top Picks, which displays your most-visited web pages. Safari also lets you change the settings for New Windows and tabs, allowing you to choose which site you want to open when you start a new tab. The setting works similarly to Chrome’s New Tab page.
